Board Members Present: Cynthia Hughes (hosting), George Montoya, Robert Sanchez, James Cleverly, Gary Runyan, Rasa Lila, Irma Ruiz

Guests: Cesar Chavez, Nora Chavez, Antonio Granillo, Calila

WELCOME - Irma Ruiz presiding. Thank you to Cynthia and Cesar for their hospitality and great food!

MINUTES from last month’s meeting were reviewed minor clarification was discussed.

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT: George Montoya gave an update on National Night Out scheduled for Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at the new community park off of Sunset Dr. Cynthia volunteered to contact local neighborhood stores for donations. Richard Rivas is soliciting business for items to be given away as raffle items at event. All volunteers agreed to arrive at the park by 4pm at the latest. We will miss being away from George and Beryl’s home!!

BY-LAWS AMENDMENTS: The Amended By-Laws were presented to those present. Amendments include expansion of Neighborhood Association boundaries to include both sides of Five Points Rd. from Atrisco to Bridge, and add Henry Circle. Board Members present unanimously accepted the amendments.

NEXT MEETING: Scheduled for 6 pm September 28, 2006 at Valle Vista Elementary School
